Recommended: SSAO Screen-Space Reflections So I recommend that players set it to SSAO while HBAO+ can be set if players decide to play the game at 30 FPS. This saves a ton of performance compared to HBAO+. As you move the camera, the game will stop generating for the objects that are not in the player’s view. SSAO or Screen-Space Ambient Occlusion creates these shadows for the objects that are currently in the player’s field of view. Here, players have to choose between SSAO and HBAO+. Disabling it will make the scene just flat. As I mentioned above, I am recommending this for GPUs with 6 GB of VRAM.Īmbient Occlusion makes the in-game scenes much more realistic and grounded by creating shadows under small objects. However, this comes at the cost of performance.įor a mid-range GPU, I recommend that you set it at High or even drop to medium if you notice a drop in FPS. The higher the setting the better objects will look at a distance with less pop in. Level Of Detail determines the quality of objects at the distance from the camera. For 30 FPS, I recommend that set it to Very High. I recommend that you keet that to low for 60 FPS. Of course, the game has to render extra pixels to blur out the rest of the image and hence impacts performance.

This graphical setting keeps the focus on the characters while blurring the rest of the image and gives the impression that you are looking through a movie camera. However, if you decide to lock the game at 30 FPS, then you can set it to High, even Ultra.ĭepth Of Feild is an effect that is mostly seen during cutscenes. This is one of the most performance impacting settings and I recommend that you set it to Low. It’s quite obvious from the name, this Marvel’s Avengers setting controls the quality of shadows that are close and at a distance. Recommended: Anisotropic 16X Shadow Quality Set this one to Anisotropic 16X and you’ll be good. This is one of those graphical options that don’t impact performance and can be set to the highest.

The recommended setting here is High and if you have installed the high-res texture pack then uninstall it since it won’t make a difference on 1080p and will cause FPS to drop. This setting demands a significant chunk of VRAM along with performance. Texture Quality determines the resolution of in-game textures. However, SMAA is too demanding and impacts performance.

SMAA on the other hand has better image quality with the ability to eliminate aliasing. While it can make image quality a bit soft or blurry but, it eliminates all visible aliasing and isn’t a performance hog. Here players have to option of FXAA, TAA, and SMAA.

This setting in Marvel’s Avengers eliminates jagged edges or visible aliasing along the edges of in-game assets. Recommended: Force it through GPU driver.

Scroll down the options and select “on” for vertical sync. To do that, Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > select Marvel’s Avengers. I recommend that you disable this option and force it through the GPU. Enabling V.sync removes screen tearing, caps the FPS to refresh-rate but with a slight increase in response time. If you disable this option, the GPU will render frames for the game as much it can and you’ll see clear screen tearing but with better response time.

For those who don’t, vertical synchronization syncs the frames the GPU renders and eliminates screen tearing. V.syncīy now, most of you know what this setting does. Apply the setting and now the game will render at 30 FPS max. Turn on “Max FPS Limit” and set the value to 30. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select Marvel’s Avengers.
